In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: nfsd: fix race between laundromat and free_stateid There is a race between laundromat handling of revoked delegations and a client sending free_stateid operation. Laundromat thread finds that delegation has expired and needs to be revoked so it marks the delegation stid revoked and it puts it on a reaper list but then it unlock the state lock and the actual delegation revocation happens without the lock. Once the stid is marked revoked a racing free_stateid processing thread does the following (1) it calls list_del_init() which removes it from the reaper list and (2) frees the delegation stid structure. The laundromat thread ends up not calling the revoke_delegation() function for this particular delegation but that means it will no release the lock lease that exists on the file. Now, a new open for this file comes in and ends up finding that lease list isn't empty and calls nfsd_breaker_owns_lease() which ends up trying to derefence a freed delegation stateid. Leading to the followint use-after-free KASAN warning: kernel: ================================================================== kernel: BUG: KASAN: slab-use-after-free in nfsd_breaker_owns_lease+0x140/0x160 [nfsd] kernel: Read of size 8 at addr ffff0000e73cd0c8 by task nfsd/6205 kernel: kernel: CPU: 2 UID: 0 PID: 6205 Comm: nfsd Kdump: loaded Not tainted 6.11.0-rc7+ #9 kernel: Hardware name: Apple Inc. • https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/2d4a532d385f635ab8243b88db3136bb52a0bc29 https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/967faa26f313a62e7bebc55d5b8122eaee43b929 https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/8dd91e8d31febf4d9cca3ae1bb4771d33ae7ee5a •

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: RDMA/mad: Improve handling of timed out WRs of mad agent Current timeout handler of mad agent acquires/releases mad_agent_priv lock for every timed out WRs. This causes heavy locking contention when higher no. of WRs are to be handled inside timeout handler. This leads to softlockup with below trace in some use cases where rdma-cm path is used to establish connection between peer nodes Trace: ----- BUG: soft lockup - CPU#4 stuck for 26s! In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: dm vdo: don't refer to dedupe_context after releasing it Clear the dedupe_context pointer in a data_vio whenever ownership of the context is lost, so that vdo can't examine it accidentally. En el kernel de Linux, se ha resuelto la siguiente vulnerabilidad: dm vdo: no hacer referencia a dedupe_context después de liberarlo. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/xe/oa: Fix overflow in oa batch buffer By default xe_bb_create_job() appends a MI_BATCH_BUFFER_END to batch buffer, this is not a problem if batch buffer is only used once but oa reuses the batch buffer for the same metric and at each call it appends a MI_BATCH_BUFFER_END, printing the warning below and then overflowing. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: unicode: Don't special case ignorable code points We don't need to handle them separately. Instead, just let them decompose/casefold to themselves. • https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/18b5f47e7da46d3a0d7331e48befcaf151ed2ddf https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/39fffca572844d733b137a0ff9eacd67b9b0c8e3 https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/651b954cd8d5b0a358ceb47c93876bb6201224e4 https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/21526498d25e54bda3c650f756493d63fd9131b7 https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/ac20736861f3c9c8e0a78273a4c57e9bcb0d8cc6 https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/876d3577a5b353e482d9228d45fa0d82bf1af53a https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/5c26d2f1d3f5e4be3e196526bead29ecb139cf91 •
