CVE-2021-20265 – kernel: increase slab leak leads to DoS
https://notcve.org/view.php?id=CVE-2021-20265
A flaw was found in the way memory resources were freed in the unix_stream_recvmsg function in the Linux kernel when a signal was pending. This flaw allows an unprivileged local user to crash the system by exhausting available memory. The highest threat from this vulnerability is to system availability. • https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1908827 https://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/torvalds/linux.git/commit/?id=fa0dc04df259ba2df3ce1920e9690c7842f8fa4b https://www.oracle.com/security-alerts/cpuoct2021.html https://access.redhat.com/security/cve/CVE-2021-20265 • CWE-400: Uncontrolled Resource Consumption CWE-401: Missing Release of Memory after Effective Lifetime •
CVE-2020-13936 – Velocity Sandbox Bypass
https://notcve.org/view.php?id=CVE-2020-13936
An attacker that is able to modify Velocity templates may execute arbitrary Java code or run arbitrary system commands with the same privileges as the account running the Servlet container. This applies to applications that allow untrusted users to upload/modify velocity templates running Apache Velocity Engine versions up to 2.2. A flaw was found in velocity. An attacker, able to modify Velocity templates, may execute arbitrary Java code or run arbitrary system commands with the same privileges as the account running the Servlet container. • http://www.openwall.com/lists/oss-security/2021/03/10/1 https://lists.apache.org/thread.html/r01043f584cbd47959fabe18fff64de940f81a65024bb8dddbda31d9a%40%3Cuser.velocity.apache.org%3E https://lists.apache.org/thread.html/r0bc98e9cd080b4a13b905c571b9bed87e1a0878d44dbf21487c6cca4%40%3Cdev.santuario.apache.org%3E https://lists.apache.org/thread.html/r17cb932fab14801b14e5b97a7f05192f4f366ef260c10d4a8dba8ac9%40%3Cdev.ws.apache.org%3E https://lists.apache.org/thread.html/r293284c6806c73f51098001ea86a14271c39f72cd76af9e946d9d9ad%40%3Cdev.ws.apache.org%3E https://lists • CWE-94: Improper Control of Generation of Code ('Code Injection') •
CVE-2021-21295 – Possible request smuggling in HTTP/2 due missing validation
https://notcve.org/view.php?id=CVE-2021-21295
Netty is an open-source, asynchronous event-driven network application framework for rapid development of maintainable high performance protocol servers & clients. In Netty (io.netty:netty-codec-http2) before version 4.1.60.Final there is a vulnerability that enables request smuggling. If a Content-Length header is present in the original HTTP/2 request, the field is not validated by `Http2MultiplexHandler` as it is propagated up. This is fine as long as the request is not proxied through as HTTP/1.1. If the request comes in as an HTTP/2 stream, gets converted into the HTTP/1.1 domain objects (`HttpRequest`, `HttpContent`, etc.) via `Http2StreamFrameToHttpObjectCodec `and then sent up to the child channel's pipeline and proxied through a remote peer as HTTP/1.1 this may result in request smuggling. • https://github.com/Netflix/zuul/pull/980 https://github.com/netty/netty/commit/89c241e3b1795ff257af4ad6eadc616cb2fb3dc4 https://github.com/netty/netty/security/advisories/GHSA-wm47-8v5p-wjpj https://lists.apache.org/thread.html/r02e467123d45006a1dda20a38349e9c74c3a4b53e2e07be0939ecb3f%40%3Cdev.ranger.apache.org%3E https://lists.apache.org/thread.html/r040a5e4d9cca2f98354b58a70b27099672276f66995c4e2e39545d0b%40%3Cissues.hbase.apache.org%3E https://lists.apache.org/thread.html/r04a3e0d9f53421fb946c60cc54762b7151dc692eb4e39970a7579052%40%3Ccommits.servicecomb.apache.org • CWE-444: Inconsistent Interpretation of HTTP Requests ('HTTP Request/Response Smuggling') •
CVE-2021-27365 – kernel: heap buffer overflow in the iSCSI subsystem
https://notcve.org/view.php?id=CVE-2021-27365
An issue was discovered in the Linux kernel through 5.11.3. Certain iSCSI data structures do not have appropriate length constraints or checks, and can exceed the PAGE_SIZE value. An unprivileged user can send a Netlink message that is associated with iSCSI, and has a length up to the maximum length of a Netlink message. Se detectó un problema en el kernel de Linux versiones hasta 5.11.3. Determinadas estructuras de datos iSCSI no tienen restricciones de longitud o comprobaciones apropiadas y pueden exceder el valor PAGE_SIZE. • http://packetstormsecurity.com/files/162117/Kernel-Live-Patch-Security-Notice-LSN-0075-1.html https://blog.grimm-co.com/2021/03/new-old-bugs-in-linux-kernel.html https://bugzilla.suse.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1182715 https://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/torvalds/linux.git/commit/?id=ec98ea7070e94cc25a422ec97d1421e28d97b7ee https://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/torvalds/linux.git/commit/?id=f9dbdf97a5bd92b1a49cee3d591b55b11fd7a6d5 https://lists.debian.org/debian-lts-announce/2021/03 • CWE-122: Heap-based Buffer Overflow CWE-787: Out-of-bounds Write •
CVE-2021-27364 – kernel: out-of-bounds read in libiscsi module
