CVE-2008-4832
https://notcve.org/view.php?id=CVE-2008-4832
rc.sysinit in initscripts 8.12-8.21 and 8.56.15-0.1 on rPath allows local users to delete arbitrary files via a symlink attack on a directory under (1) /var/lock or (2) /var/run. NOTE: this issue exists because of a race condition in an incorrect fix for CVE-2008-3524. NOTE: exploitation may require an unusual scenario in which rc.sysinit is executed other than at boot time. rc.sysinit en el paquete initscripts en sus versiones 8.12-8.21 y 8.56.15-0.1 de rPath permite a usuarios locales borrar archivos arbitrarios a través de un ataque de seguimiento de enlace simbólicos sobre un directorio bajo (1) /var/lock o (2) /var/run. • http://secunia.com/advisories/32710 http://wiki.rpath.com/wiki/Advisories:rPSA-2008-0318 https://exchange.xforce.ibmcloud.com/vulnerabilities/46700 https://issues.rpath.com/browse/RPL-2857 • CWE-59: Improper Link Resolution Before File Access ('Link Following') •
CVE-2007-1352 – Multiple font integer overflows (CVE-2007-1352)
https://notcve.org/view.php?id=CVE-2007-1352
Integer overflow in the FontFileInitTable function in X.Org libXfont before 20070403 allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary code via a long first line in the fonts.dir file, which results in a heap overflow. • http://issues.foresightlinux.org/browse/FL-223 http://labs.idefense.com/intelligence/vulnerabilities/display.php?id=502 http://lists.apple.com/archives/Security-announce/2007/Nov/msg00003.html http://lists.apple.com/archives/security-announce/2009/Feb/msg00000.html http://lists.freedesktop.org/archives/xorg-announce/2007-April/000286.html http://rhn.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2007-0125.html http://secunia.com/advisories/24741 http://secunia.com/advisories/24745 http://secunia.com/advisories/ •

https://notcve.org/view.php?id=CVE-2004-1452
Tomcat before 5.0.27-r3 in Gentoo Linux sets the default permissions on the init scripts as tomcat:tomcat, but executes the scripts with root privileges, which could allow local users in the tomcat group to execute arbitrary commands as root by modifying the scripts. • http://secunia.com/advisories/12296 http://www.gentoo.org/security/en/glsa/glsa-200408-15.xml http://www.securityfocus.com/bid/10951 https://exchange.xforce.ibmcloud.com/vulnerabilities/16993 •
