CVE-2002-20001
https://notcve.org/view.php?id=CVE-2002-20001
The Diffie-Hellman Key Agreement Protocol allows remote attackers (from the client side) to send arbitrary numbers that are actually not public keys, and trigger expensive server-side DHE modular-exponentiation calculations, aka a D(HE)at or D(HE)ater attack. The client needs very little CPU resources and network bandwidth. The attack may be more disruptive in cases where a client can require a server to select its largest supported key size. The basic attack scenario is that the client must claim that it can only communicate with DHE, and the server must be configured to allow DHE. • https://cert-portal.siemens.com/productcert/pdf/ssa-506569.pdf https://dheatattack.com https://dheatattack.gitlab.io https://github.com/Balasys/dheater https://github.com/mozilla/ssl-config-generator/issues/162 https://gitlab.com/dheatattack/dheater https://ieeexplore.ieee.org/document/10374117 https://support.f5.com/csp/article/K83120834 https://www.arubanetworks.com/assets/alert/ARUBA-PSA-2022-004.txt https://www.openssl.org/blog/blog/2022/10/21/tls-groups-configuration https: • CWE-400: Uncontrolled Resource Consumption •
CVE-2018-12207 – hw: Machine Check Error on Page Size Change (IFU)
https://notcve.org/view.php?id=CVE-2018-12207
Improper invalidation for page table updates by a virtual guest operating system for multiple Intel(R) Processors may allow an authenticated user to potentially enable denial of service of the host system via local access. A flaw was found in the way Intel CPUs handle inconsistency between, virtual to physical memory address translations in CPU's local cache and system software's Paging structure entries. A privileged guest user may use this flaw to induce a hardware Machine Check Error on the host processor, resulting in a severe DoS scenario by halting the processor. System software like OS OR Virtual Machine Monitor (VMM) use virtual memory system for storing program instructions and data in memory. Virtual Memory system uses Paging structures like Page Tables and Page Directories to manage system memory. • http://lists.opensuse.org/opensuse-security-announce/2019-12/msg00042.html https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2019:3916 https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2019:3936 https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2019:3941 https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2020:0026 https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2020:0028 https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2020:0204 https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/package-announce%40lists.fedoraproject.org/message/I5WWPW4BSZDDW7VHU427XTVXV7ROOFFW https:/ • CWE-20: Improper Input Validation CWE-226: Sensitive Information in Resource Not Removed Before Reuse •
CVE-2012-1493 – F5 BIG-IP - Authentication Bypass (PoC)
https://notcve.org/view.php?id=CVE-2012-1493
F5 BIG-IP appliances 9.x before 9.4.8-HF5, 10.x before 10.2.4, 11.0.x before 11.0.0-HF2, and 11.1.x before 11.1.0-HF3, and Enterprise Manager before 2.1.0-HF2, 2.2.x before 2.2.0-HF1, and 2.3.x before 2.3.0-HF3, use a single SSH private key across different customers' installations and do not properly restrict access to this key, which makes it easier for remote attackers to perform SSH logins via the PubkeyAuthentication option. F5 ships a public/private key pair on BIG-IP appliances that allows passwordless authentication to any other BIG-IP box. Since the key is easily retrievable, an attacker can use it to gain unauthorized remote access as root. • https://www.exploit-db.com/exploits/19064 https://www.exploit-db.com/exploits/19091 https://www.exploit-db.com/exploits/19099 http://support.f5.com/kb/en-us/solutions/public/13000/600/sol13600.html http://www.theregister.co.uk/2012/06/13/f5_kit_metasploit_exploit https://github.com/rapid7/metasploit-framework/blob/master/modules/exploits/linux/ssh/f5_bigip_known_privkey.rb https://www.trustmatta.com/advisories/MATTA-2012-002.txt • CWE-255: Credentials Management Errors •
