CVE-2023-23699 – WordPress Progress Bar Plugin <= 2.2.1 is vulnerable to Cross Site Scripting (XSS)
https://notcve.org/view.php?id=CVE-2023-23699
Auth. (contributor+) Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability in Chris Reynolds Progress Bar plugin <= 2.2.1 versions. The Progress Bar plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the 'wppb' shortcode in versions up to, and including, 2.1.6 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on the user-supplied shortcode attributes. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with contributor-level access and above, to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page. • https://patchstack.com/database/vulnerability/progress-bar/wordpress-progress-bar-plugin-2-1-6-cross-site-scripting-xss-vulnerability?_s_id=cve • CWE-79: Improper Neutralization of Input During Web Page Generation ('Cross-site Scripting') •
