CVE-2021-4104 – Deserialization of untrusted data in JMSAppender in Apache Log4j 1.2
https://notcve.org/view.php?id=CVE-2021-4104
JMSAppender in Log4j 1.2 is vulnerable to deserialization of untrusted data when the attacker has write access to the Log4j configuration. The attacker can provide TopicBindingName and TopicConnectionFactoryBindingName configurations causing JMSAppender to perform JNDI requests that result in remote code execution in a similar fashion to CVE-2021-44228. Note this issue only affects Log4j 1.2 when specifically configured to use JMSAppender, which is not the default. Apache Log4j 1.2 reached end of life in August 2015. Users should upgrade to Log4j 2 as it addresses numerous other issues from the previous versions. • http://www.openwall.com/lists/oss-security/2022/01/18/3 https://access.redhat.com/security/cve/CVE-2021-4104 https://github.com/apache/logging-log4j2/pull/608#issuecomment-990494126 https://psirt.global.sonicwall.com/vuln-detail/SNWLID-2021-0033 https://security.gentoo.org/glsa/202209-02 https://security.gentoo.org/glsa/202310-16 https://security.gentoo.org/glsa/202312-02 https://security.gentoo.org/glsa/202312-04 https://security.netapp.com/advisory/ntap-20211223-0007 https • CWE-20: Improper Input Validation CWE-502: Deserialization of Untrusted Data •
CVE-2016-8653
https://notcve.org/view.php?id=CVE-2016-8653
It was found that the JMX endpoint of Red Hat JBoss Fuse 6, and Red Hat A-MQ 6 deserializes the credentials passed to it. An attacker could use this flaw to launch a denial of service attack. Se ha detectado que el endpoint JMX de Red Hat JBoss Fuse 6 y Red Hat A-MQ 6 deserializa las credenciales que se les pasa. Un atacante podría explotar este error para iniciar un ataque de denegación de servicio (DoS). • http://www.securityfocus.com/bid/94544 https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=CVE-2016-8653 • CWE-502: Deserialization of Untrusted Data •
CVE-2016-8648
https://notcve.org/view.php?id=CVE-2016-8648
It was found that the Karaf container used by Red Hat JBoss Fuse 6.x, and Red Hat JBoss A-MQ 6.x, deserializes objects passed to MBeans via JMX operations. An attacker could use this flaw to execute remote code on the server as the user running the Java Virtual Machine if the target MBean contain deserialization gadgets in its classpath. • http://www.securityfocus.com/bid/94513 https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=CVE-2016-8648 • CWE-502: Deserialization of Untrusted Data •
CVE-2015-5181 – Console: script injection into queue name
https://notcve.org/view.php?id=CVE-2015-5181
The JBoss console in A-MQ allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary JavaScript. La consola JBoss en A-MQ permite que los atacantes remotos ejecuten código JavaScript de forma remota. It was found that the JBoss A-MQ console would accept a string containing JavaScript as the name of a new message queue. Execution of the UI would subsequently execute the script. An attacker could use this flaw to access sensitive information or perform other attacks. • http://rhn.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2015-2556.html https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1248804 https://rhn.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2015-2557.html https://access.redhat.com/security/cve/CVE-2015-5181 • CWE-79: Improper Neutralization of Input During Web Page Generation ('Cross-site Scripting') •
CVE-2015-7501 – apache-commons-collections: InvokerTransformer code execution during deserialisation
https://notcve.org/view.php?id=CVE-2015-7501
Red Hat JBoss A-MQ 6.x; BPM Suite (BPMS) 6.x; BRMS 6.x and 5.x; Data Grid (JDG) 6.x; Data Virtualization (JDV) 6.x and 5.x; Enterprise Application Platform 6.x, 5.x, and 4.3.x; Fuse 6.x; Fuse Service Works (FSW) 6.x; Operations Network (JBoss ON) 3.x; Portal 6.x; SOA Platform (SOA-P) 5.x; Web Server (JWS) 3.x; Red Hat OpenShift/xPAAS 3.x; and Red Hat Subscription Asset Manager 1.3 allow remote attackers to execute arbitrary commands via a crafted serialized Java object, related to the Apache Commons Collections (ACC) library. Red Hat JBoss A-MQ 6.x; BPM Suite (BPMS) 6.x; BRMS 6.x y 5.x; Data Grid (JDG) 6.x; Data Virtualization (JDV) 6.x y 5.x; Enterprise Application Platform 6.x, 5.x y 4.3.x; Fuse 6.x; Fuse Service Works (FSW) 6.x; Operations Network (JBoss ON) 3.x; Portal 6.x; SOA Platform (SOA-P) 5.x; Web Server (JWS) 3.x; Red Hat OpenShift/xPAAS 3.x y Red Hat Subscription Asset Manager 1.3 permiten que atacantes remotos ejecuten comandos arbitrarios mediante un objeto Java serializado manipulado. Esto está relacionado con la librería ACC (Apache Commons Collections). It was found that the Apache commons-collections library permitted code execution when deserializing objects involving a specially constructed chain of classes. A remote attacker could use this flaw to execute arbitrary code with the permissions of the application using the commons-collections library. • https://github.com/ianxtianxt/CVE-2015-7501 http://rhn.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2015-2500.html http://rhn.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2015-2501.html http://rhn.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2015-2502.html http://rhn.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2015-2514.html http://rhn.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2015-2516.html http://rhn.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2015-2517.html http://rhn.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2015-2521.html http://rhn.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2015-2522.html http://rhn.redhat. • CWE-284: Improper Access Control CWE-502: Deserialization of Untrusted Data •
