CVE-2024-7399 – Samsung MagicInfo Server getFileFromMultipartFile Directory Traversal Remote Code Execution Vulnerability

Improper limitation of a pathname to a restricted directory vulnerability in Samsung MagicINFO 9 Server version before 21.1050 allows attackers to write arbitrary file as system authority. This vulnerability allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code on affected installations of Samsung MagicInfo Server. Authentication is not required to exploit this vulnerability. The specific flaw exists within the getFileFromMultipartFile method. The issue results from the lack of proper validation of a user-supplied path prior to using it in file operations.
