A vulnerability was found in HD FLV PLayer Plugin up to 1.7 on WordPress. It has been rated as critical. Affected by this issue is the function hd_add_media/hd_update_media of the file functions.php. The manipulation of the argument name leads to sql injection. The attack may be launched remotely. Upgrading to version 1.8 is able to address this issue. The HD FLV Player plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to arbitrary file uploads due to missing file type validation in the uploadfile function in versions up to, and including, 1.7. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to upload arbitrary files on the affected sites server which may make remote code execution possible.
