Descriptions

Heap-based buffer overflow in Apple Safari 7.0.2 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code and bypass a sandbox protection mechanism via unspecified vectors, as demonstrated by Liang Chen during a Pwn2Own competition at CanSecWest 2014.

This vulnerability allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code on vulnerable installations of Apple Safari. User interaction is required to exploit this vulnerability in that the target must visit a malicious page or open a malicious file.
The specific flaw exists within the handling of CSS rules. The issue lies in the improper handling of CSSSelector elements. An attacker can leverage this vulnerability to execute code under the context of the current process.
