Microsoft Excel 2010 SP2, Excel 2013 SP1, Excel 2013 RT SP1, Excel 2016, Excel for Mac 2011, Excel 2016 for Mac, and Excel Services on SharePoint Server 2013 SP1 allow remote attackers to execute arbitrary code via a crafted Office document, aka "Microsoft Office Memory Corruption Vulnerability."
Microsoft Excel 2010 SP2, Excel 2013 SP1, Excel 2013 RT SP1, Excel 2016, Excel para Mac 2011, Excel 2016 para Mac y Excel Services en SharePoint Server 2013 SP1 permiten a atacantes remotos ejecutar código arbitrario a través de un documento Office manipulado, también conocida como 'Microsoft Office Memory Corruption Vulnerability'.
This vulnerability allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code on vulnerable installations of Microsoft Office Excel. User interaction is required to exploit this vulnerability in that the target must visit a malicious page or open a malicious file.
The specific flaw exists within the handling of binary Excel files (.xlsb). By providing a malformed file, an attacker can cause a pointer to be re-used after it has been freed. An attacker could leverage this to execute arbitrary code under the context of the current user.
