The odbc_bindcols function in ext/odbc/php_odbc.c in PHP before 5.6.12 mishandles driver behavior for SQL_WVARCHAR columns, which allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (application crash) in opportunistic circumstances by leveraging use of the odbc_fetch_array function to access a certain type of Microsoft SQL Server table.

La función odbc_bindcols en ext/odbc/php_odbc.c en PHP en versiones anteriores a 5.6.12 no maneja correctamente el comportamiento del controlador para columnas SQL_WVARCHAR, lo que permite a atacantes remotos provocar una denegación del servicio (caída de aplicación) en circunstancias oportunas aprovechando el uso de la función odbc_fetch_array para acceder a determinado tipo de tablas Microsoft SQL Server.

The rh-php56 packages provide a recent stable release of PHP with PEAR 1.9.5 and enhanced language features including constant expressions, variadic functions, arguments unpacking, and the interactive debuger. The memcache, mongo, and XDebug extensions are also included. The rh-php56 Software Collection has been upgraded to version 5.6.25, which provides a number of bug fixes and enhancements over the previous version. Security Fixes in the rh-php56-php component have been added.
