The jpc_tsfb_synthesize function in jpc_tsfb.c in JasPer before 1.900.9 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (NULL pointer dereference) via vectors involving an empty sequence.

La función jpc_tsfb_synthesize en jpc_tsfb.c en JasPer en versiones anteriores a 1.900.9 permite a atacantes remotos provocar una denegación de servicio (referencia a puntero NULL) a través de vectores que implican una secuencia vacía.

It was discovered that JasPer incorrectly handled certain malformed JPEG-2000 image files. If a user or automated system using JasPer were tricked into opening a specially crafted image, an attacker could exploit this to cause a denial of service or possibly execute code with the privileges of the user invoking the program.
