An issue was discovered in certain Apple products. macOS before 10.12.5 is affected. The issue involves the "Security" component. It allows attackers to conduct sandbox-escape attacks or cause a denial of service (resource consumption) via a crafted app.

Se descubrió un problema en ciertos productos de Apple. MacOS anterior a versión 10.12.5 está afectado. El problema involucra al componente "Security". Permite a los atacantes conducir ataques de escape del sandbox o causar una denegación de servicio (consumo de recursos) por medio de una aplicación especialmente diseñada.

This vulnerability allows local attackers to escalate privileges on vulnerable installations of Apple macOS. An attacker must first obtain the ability to execute low-privileged code on the target system in order to exploit this vulnerability.
The specific flaw exists within the authd service. The issue lies in the lack of proper validation of authorization tokens prior to using them. An attacker can leverage this vulnerability to escalate privileges under the context of root.
