An issue was discovered in certain Apple products. iTunes before 12.6.2 on Windows is affected. The issue involves the "iTunes" component. It allows attackers to execute arbitrary code in a privileged context via a crafted app.

Fue detectado un problema en ciertos productos de Apple. iTunes versión anterior a 12.6.2 en Windows se ve afectado. El tema involucra el componente "iTunes". Permite a los atacantes ejecutar un código arbitrario en un contexto privilegiado por medio de una aplicación creada.

This vulnerability allows local attackers to escalate privileges on vulnerable installations of Apple iTunes. An attacker must first obtain the ability to execute low-privileged code on the target system in order to exploit this vulnerability.
The specific flaw exists within the handling of the iPodManager COM control. The issue results from the lack of proper restriction of access to the control. An attacker can leverage this vulnerability to escalate privileges and execute code under the context of SYSTEM.
