An elevation of privilege vulnerability exists in Windows Adobe Type Manager Font Driver (ATMFD.dll) when it fails to properly handle objects in memory, aka "OpenType Font Driver Elevation of Privilege Vulnerability." This affects Windows 7, Windows Server 2012 R2, Windows RT 8.1, Windows Server 2008, Windows Server 2012, Windows 8.1, Windows Server 2016, Windows Server 2008 R2, Windows 10, Windows 10 Servers.

Existe una vulnerabilidad de elevación de privilegios en Windows Adobe Type Manager Font Driver (ATMFD.dll) cuando no gestiona correctamente los objetos en la memoria. Esto también se conoce como "OpenType Font Driver Elevation of Privilege Vulnerability". Esto afecta a Windows 7, Windows Server 2012 R2, Windows RT 8.1, Windows Server 2008, Windows Server 2012, Windows 8.1, Windows Server 2016, Windows Server 2008 R2, Windows 10 y Windows 10 Servers.

This vulnerability allows local attackers to escalate privileges on vulnerable installations of Microsoft Windows. An attacker must first obtain the ability to execute low-privileged code on the target system in order to exploit this vulnerability.
The specific flaw exists within the rendering of fonts. A crafted OpenType font rendered by the kernel can trigger an integer overflow before writing to memory. An attacker can leverage this vulnerability to escalate privileges and execute code as SYSTEM.
