Descriptions

Fuji Electric V-Server 4.0.3.0 and prior, A stack-based buffer overflow vulnerability has been identified, which may allow remote code execution.

En Fuji Electric V-Server en versiones 4.0.3.0 y anteriores, se ha identificado una vulnerabilidad de desbordamiento de búfer basado en pila que podría permitir la ejecución remota de código.

This vulnerability allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code on vulnerable installations of Fuji Electric V-Server. User interaction is required to exploit this vulnerability in that the target must visit a malicious page or open a malicious file.
The specific flaw exists within the parsing of a VPR file. The issue results from the lack of proper validation of the length of user-supplied data prior to copying it to a fixed-length stack-based buffer. An attacker can leverage this vulnerability to execute code under the context of the process.
