In FreeBSD before 11.2-STABLE(r340854) and 11.2-RELEASE-p5, the NFS server lacks a bounds check in the READDIRPLUS NFS request. Unprivileged remote users with access to the NFS server can cause a resource exhaustion by forcing the server to allocate an arbitrarily large memory allocation.

En FreeBSD, en versiones anteriores a la 11.2-STABLE(r340854) y la 11.2-RELEASE-p5, el servidor NFS carece de una comprobación de límites en la petición NFS READDIRPLUS. Insufficient and improper checking in the NFS server code could cause a denial of service or possibly remote code execution via a specially crafted network packet. A remote attacker could cause the NFS server to crash, resulting in a denial of service, or possibly execute arbitrary code on the server.
