Descriptions

Git before 2.19.2 on Linux and UNIX executes commands from the current working directory (as if '.' were at the end of $PATH) in certain cases involving the run_command() API and run-command.c, because there was a dangerous change from execvp to execv during 2017.

It was discovered that Git incorrectly handled layers of tree objects. An attacker could possibly use this issue to cause a denial of service. This issue only affected Ubuntu 14.04 LTS and Ubuntu 16.04 LTS. It was discovered that Git incorrectly handled certain inputs. An attacker could possibly use this issue to execute arbitrary code. This issue only affected Ubuntu 18.04 LTS and Ubuntu 18.10. Various other issues were also addressed.
