Descriptions

The "browser.identity.launchWebAuthFlow" function of WebExtensions is only allowed to load content over "https:" but this requirement was not properly enforced. This can potentially allow privileged pages to be loaded by the extension. This vulnerability affects Firefox < 58.

La función "browser.identity.launchWebAuthFlow" de WebExtensions solo tiene permitido cargar contenido sobre "https:" pero este requisito no se cumplió correctamente. Esto puede permitir que las páginas privilegiadas se carguen mediante la extensión. Esta vulnerabilidad afecta a las versiones anteriores a la 58 de Firefox.

Multiple security issues were discovered in Firefox. If a user were tricked in to opening a specially crafted website, an attacker could potentially exploit these to cause a denial of service via application crash, spoof the origin in audio capture prompts, trick the user in to providing HTTP credentials for another origin, spoof the addressbar contents, or execute arbitrary code. Various other issues were also addressed.
