Descriptions

A Stack-based Buffer Overflow issue was discovered in Fuji Electric V-Server VPR 4.0.1.0 and prior. The stack-based buffer overflow vulnerability has been identified, which may allow remote code execution.

This vulnerability allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code on vulnerable installations of Fuji Electric V-Server. User interaction is required to exploit this vulnerability in that the target must visit a malicious page or open a malicious file.
The specific flaw exists within the parsing of project files. The issue results from the lack of proper validation of the length of user-supplied data prior to copying it to a fixed-length buffer. An attacker can leverage this vulnerability to execute code under the context of the current process.
