An out-of-bounds read was addressed with improved bounds checking. This issue is fixed in iOS 12.2, macOS Mojave 10.14.4, tvOS 12.2, watchOS 5.2. Processing a maliciously crafted font may result in the disclosure of process memory.

This vulnerability allows remote attackers to disclose sensitive information on vulnerable installations of Apple macOS. User interaction is required to exploit this vulnerability in that the target must visit a malicious page or open a malicious file.
The specific flaw exists within the StreamFlatFont method. Crafted data in a TTF file can trigger a read past the end of an allocated buffer. An attacker can leverage this in conjunction with other vulnerabilities to execute code in the context of the current process.
