When constructing a permission prompt for WebRTC, a URI was supplied from the content process. This URI was untrusted, and could have been the URI of an origin that was previously granted permission; bypassing the prompt. This vulnerability affects Firefox < 78.

Multiple security issues were discovered in Firefox. If a user were tricked in to opening a specially crafted website, an attacker could potentially exploit these to cause a denial of service, obtain sensitive information, bypass permission prompts, or execute arbitrary code. It was discovered that when performing add-on updates, certificate chains not terminating with built-in roots were silently rejected. This could result in add-ons becoming outdated. Various other issues were also addressed.
