Descriptions

Vinoj Cardoza WordPress Poll Plugin v36 and lower executes SQL statement passed in via the pollid POST parameter due to a lack of user input escaping. This allows users who craft specific SQL statements to dump the entire targets database.

The Poll Plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to blind SQL Injection via the 'pollid' parameter in versions up to, and including, 36 due to insufficient escaping on the user supplied parameter and lack of sufficient preparation on the existing SQL query. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to append additional SQL queries into already existing queries that can be used to extract sensitive information from the database.
