An out-of-bounds read was addressed with improved input validation. This issue is fixed in macOS Catalina 10.15.6. A local user may be able to cause unexpected system termination or read kernel memory.
Se abordó una lectura fuera de límites con una comprobación de entrada mejorada. Este problema se corrigió en macOS Catalina versión 10.15.6. Un usuario local puede causar un cierre inesperado del sistema o una lectura de la memoria del kernel
This vulnerability allows local attackers to disclose sensitive information on affected installations of Apple macOS. An attacker must first obtain the ability to execute low-privileged code on the target system in order to exploit this vulnerability.
The specific flaw exists within the AppleIntelKBLGraphics kext. The issue results from the lack of proper validation of user-supplied data, which can result in a read past the end of an allocated data structure. An attacker can leverage this in conjunction with other vulnerabilities to escalate privileges and execute code in the context of the kernel.
