Descriptions

Adobe RoboHelp Server version 2019.0.9 (and earlier) is affected by a Path Traversal vulnerability when parsing a crafted HTTP POST request. An authenticated attacker could leverage this vulnerability to achieve arbitrary code execution in the context of the current user. Exploitation of this issue does not require user interaction.

This vulnerability allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code on affected installations of Adobe RoboHelp Server. Although authentication is required to exploit this vulnerability, the existing authentication mechanism can be bypassed.
The specific flaw exists within the RoboHelp server. When parsing the folderId parameter, the process does not properly validate a user-supplied path prior to using it in file operations. An attacker can leverage this vulnerability to execute code in the context of SYSTEM.
