A vulnerability has been identified in JT2Go (All versions < V13.2), Teamcenter Visualization (All versions < V13.2). The Tiff_loader.dll library in affected applications lacks proper validation of user-supplied data when parsing TIFF files. This could result in an out of bounds write past the fixed-length heap-based buffer. An attacker could leverage this vulnerability to execute code in the context of the current process. Se ha identificado una vulnerabilidad en JT2Go (Todas las versiones anteriores a V13.2), Teamcenter Visualization (Todas las versiones anteriores a V13.2). La biblioteca Tiff_loader.dll de las aplicaciones afectadas no comprueba apropiadamente los datos proporcionados por el usuario cuando se analizan los archivos TIFF. This vulnerability allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code on affected installations of Siemens JT2Go. User interaction is required to exploit this vulnerability in that the target must visit a malicious page or open a malicious file.
The specific flaw exists within the parsing of TIF files. The issue results from the lack of proper validation of the length of user-supplied data prior to copying it to a fixed-length heap-based buffer. An attacker can leverage this vulnerability to execute code in the context of the current process.
