There's a flaw in OpenEXR's scanline input file functionality in versions before 3.0.0-beta. An attacker able to submit a crafted file to be processed by OpenEXR could consume excessive system memory. The greatest impact of this flaw is to system availability.

Se presenta un fallo en la funcionalidad scanline input file de OpenEXR en versiones anteriores a 3.0.0-beta. Un atacante capaz de enviar un archivo diseñado para que sea procesado por OpenEXR podría consumir una cantidad excesiva de la memoria del sistema. El mayor impacto de este fallo es la disponibilidad del sistema.

It was discovered that OpenEXR incorrectly handled certain malformed EXR image files. If a user were tricked into opening a crafted EXR image file, a remote attacker could cause a denial of service, or possibly execute arbitrary code.
