CVE-2021-44044

Se presenta una vulnerabilidad de escritura fuera de límites cuando se lee un archivo JPG usando Open Design Alliance Drawings SDK versiones anteriores a 2022.11. El problema específico se presenta al analizar archivos JPG. Los datos diseñados en un JPG (4 bytes extraños versiones anteriores al marcador 0xca) pueden desencadenar una operación de escritura más allá del final de un búfer asignado. This vulnerability allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code on affected installations of Open Design Alliance (ODA) Drawings Explorer. User interaction is required to exploit this vulnerability in that the target must visit a malicious page or open a malicious file.
The specific flaw exists within the parsing of JPG files. Crafted data in a JPG file can trigger a write past the end of an allocated buffer. An attacker can leverage this vulnerability to execute code in the context of the current process.
