Descriptions

Omron CX-Position (versions 2.5.3 and prior) is vulnerable to memory corruption while processing a specific project file, which may allow an attacker to execute arbitrary code.

Omron CX-Position (versiones 2.5.3 y anteriores) es vulnerable a una corrupción de memoria mientras es procesado un archivo de proyecto específico, lo que puede permitir a un atacante ejecutar código arbitrario

This vulnerability allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code on affected installations of Omron CX-One. User interaction is required to exploit this vulnerability in that the target must visit a malicious page or open a malicious file.
The specific flaw exists within the parsing of NCI files in the CX-Position module. The issue results from the lack of proper validation of user-supplied data, which can result in a memory corruption condition. An attacker can leverage this vulnerability to execute code in the context of the current process.
