A use after free issue was addressed with improved memory management. This issue is fixed in Safari 16.1, iOS 16.1 and iPadOS 16, macOS Ventura 13. Processing maliciously crafted web content may lead to arbitrary code execution.

Se solucionó un problema de Use After Free con una gestión de memoria mejorada. Este problema se solucionó en Safari 16.1, iOS 16.1 y iPadOS 16, macOS Ventura 13. El procesamiento de contenido web creado con fines malintencionados puede provocar la ejecución de código arbitrario.

This vulnerability allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code on affected installations of Apple Safari. User interaction is required to exploit this vulnerability in that the target must visit a malicious page or open a malicious file.
The specific flaw exists within the handling of PDFPluginAnnotation objects. The issue results from the lack of validating the existence of an object prior to performing operations on the object. An attacker can leverage this vulnerability to execute code in the context of the current process.
