The Visual Email Designer for WooCommerce WordPress plugin before 1.7.2 does not properly sanitise and escape a parameter before using it in a SQL statement, leading to a SQL injection exploitable by users with a role as low as author.

The Visual Email Designer for WooCommerce plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to SQL Injection in versions up to, and including, 1.7.1 due to insufficient escaping on the user supplied parameter and lack of sufficient preparation on the existing SQL query. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with author-level privileges or higher, to append additional SQL queries into already existing queries that can be used to extract sensitive information from the database.
