Due to lack of proper memory management, when a victim opens a manipulated Windows Cursor File (.cur, ico.x3d) file received from untrusted sources in SAP 3D Visual Enterprise Author - version 9, it is possible that a Remote Code Execution can be triggered when payload forces a stack-based overflow or a re-use of dangling pointer which refers to overwritten space in memory.

This vulnerability allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code on affected installations of SAP 3D Visual Enterprise Author. User interaction is required to exploit this vulnerability in that the target must visit a malicious page or open a malicious file.
The specific flaw exists within the parsing of CUR files. The issue results from the lack of validating the existence of an object prior to performing operations on the object. An attacker can leverage this vulnerability to execute code in the context of the current process.
