Descriptions

The issue was addressed with improved memory handling. This issue is fixed in Safari 16.2, tvOS 16.2, macOS Ventura 13.1, iOS 15.7.2 and iPadOS 15.7.2, iOS 16.2 and iPadOS 16.2, watchOS 9.2. Processing maliciously crafted web content may result in the disclosure of process memory.

A flaw was found in webkitgtk. Improper input validation leads to a memory corruption vulnerability. This flaw allows an attacker with network access to pass specially crafted web content files, causing an application to halt, crash, or perform arbitrary code execution.

This vulnerability allows remote attackers to disclose sensitive information on affected installations of Apple Safari. User interaction is required to exploit this vulnerability in that the target must visit a malicious page or open a malicious file.
The specific flaw exists within the DFG JIT. The issue results from the lack of validating the existence of an object prior to performing operations on the object. An attacker can leverage this in conjunction with other vulnerabilities to execute arbitrary code in the context of the current process.
