The Custom Field Template WordPress plugin before 2.5.8 unserialises the content of an imported file, which could lead to PHP object injections issues when a high privilege user import (intentionally or not) a malicious Customizer Styling file and a suitable gadget chain is present on the blog.

The Custom Field Template plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to PHP Object Injection in versions up to, and including, 2.5.7 via deserialization of untrusted input in the custom_field_template_admin function. This allows administrator-level attackers to inject a PHP Object. No POP chain is present in the vulnerable plugin. If a POP chain is present via an additional plugin or theme installed on the target system, it could allow the attacker to delete arbitrary files, retrieve sensitive data, or execute code.
