CVE-2022-43397

Se ha identificado una vulnerabilidad en: Parasolid V34.0 (Todas las versiones < V34.0.252), Parasolid V34.1 (Todas las versiones < V34.1.242), Parasolid V35.0 (Todas las versiones < V35.0.170), Simcenter Femap (Todas las versiones < V2023.1). La aplicación afectada contiene una escritura fuera de límites más allá del final de un búfer asignado mientras analiza archivos X_T especialmente manipulados. Esto podría permitir a un atacante ejecutar código en el contexto del proceso actual. (ZDI-CAN-17854)

This vulnerability allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code on affected installations of Siemens Simcenter Femap. User interaction is required to exploit this vulnerability in that the target must visit a malicious page or open a malicious file.
The specific flaw exists within the parsing of X_T files. The issue results from the lack of proper validation of user-supplied data, which can result in a write past the end of an allocated data structure. An attacker can leverage this vulnerability to execute code in the context of the current process.
