Descriptions
The AI ChatBot WordPress plugin before 4.4.9 does not have authorisation and CSRF in the AJAX action responsible to update the OpenAI settings, allowing any authenticated users, such as subscriber to update them. Furthermore, due to the lack of escaping of the settings, this could also lead to Stored XSS
The ChatBot plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the ‘openai_settings_option_callback’ function in versions up to, and including, 4.4.8 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with subscriber-level access and above, to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page.
