The WP Popups WordPress plugin before 2.1.5.1 does not properly escape the href attribute of its spu-facebook-page shortcode before outputting it back in a page/post where the shortcode is embed, which could allow users with the contributor role and above to perform Stored Cross-Site Scripting attacks. This is due to an insufficient fix of CVE-2023-24003
The WP Popups – WordPress Popup builder for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the plugin's spu-facebook-page shortcode in versions up to, and including, 2.1.5 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on user supplied attributes. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers with contributor-level and above permissions to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page.
