Descriptions

Improper Neutralization of Special Elements used in an SQL Command ('SQL Injection') vulnerability in Castos Seriously Simple Stats allows SQL Injection. This issue affects Seriously Simple Stats: from n/a through 1.5.0.

The Seriously Simple Stats plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to SQL Injection via the order_by parameter in versions up to, and including, 1.5.0 due to insufficient escaping on the user supplied parameter and lack of sufficient preparation on the existing SQL query. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with podcast manager-level access and above, to append additional SQL queries into already existing queries that can be used to extract sensitive information from the database.
