Descriptions

The Testimonial Slider Shortcode WordPress plugin before 1.1.9 does not validate and escape some of its shortcode attributes before outputting them back in the page, which could allow users with a role as low as contributor to perform Stored Cross-Site Scripting attacks which could be used against high privilege users such as admin

The Testimonial Slider Shortcode plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via shortcode attributes in versions up to, and including, 1.1.8 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with contributor-level permissions and above, to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page.
