Descriptions

The System Dashboard WordPress plugin before 2.8.15 does not validate user input used in a path, which could allow high privilege users such as admin to perform path traversal attacks an read arbitrary files on the server

The System Dashboard plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Directory Traversal in all versions up to, and including, 2.8.14 via the 'sd_viewer' action. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Administrator-level access and above, to read the contents of arbitrary files on the server, which can contain sensitive information.
