Descriptions
The Serious Slider WordPress plugin before 1.2.7 does not validate and escape some of its shortcode attributes before outputting them back in a page/post where the shortcode is embed, which could allow users with the contributor role and above to perform Stored Cross-Site Scripting attacks.
The Serious Slider plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the plugin's 'serious-slider' shortcode in all versions up to, and including, 1.2.6 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on user supplied attributes. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with contributor-level access and above, to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page.
