CVE-2024-23145

Un archivo PRT creado con fines malintencionados, cuando se analiza en opennurbs.dll a través de aplicaciones de Autodesk, puede forzar una lectura fuera de los límites. Un actor malintencionado puede aprovechar esta vulnerabilidad para provocar un bloqueo, leer datos confidenciales o ejecutar código arbitrario en el contexto del proceso actual.

A maliciously crafted PRT file, when parsed in opennurbs.dll through Autodesk applications, can force an Out-of-Bound Read. A malicious actor can leverage this vulnerability to cause a crash,read sensitive data, or execute arbitrary code in the context of the current process.

This vulnerability allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code on affected installations of Autodesk AutoCAD. User interaction is required to exploit this vulnerability in that the target must visit a malicious page or open a malicious file.
The specific flaw exists within the parsing of PRT files. The issue results from the lack of proper validation of user-supplied data, which can result in a read past the end of an allocated buffer. An attacker can leverage this vulnerability to execute code in the context of the current process.
