Descriptions
An External XML Entity (XXE) vulnerability in the provisioning web service of Ivanti EPM before 2022 SU6, or the 2024 September update allows a remote unauthenticated attacker to leak API secrets.
This vulnerability allows remote attackers to disclose sensitive information on affected installations of Ivanti Endpoint Manager. Authentication is not required to exploit this vulnerability.
The specific flaw exists within the implementation of ImportXml method. Due to the improper restriction of XML External Entity (XXE) references, a crafted document specifying a URI causes the XML parser to access the URI and embed the contents back into the XML document for further processing. An attacker can leverage this vulnerability to disclose stored credentials, leading to further compromise.
