Descriptions
The Mime Types Extended WordPress plugin through 0.11 does not sanitise uploaded SVG files, which could allow users with a role as low as Author to upload a malicious SVG containing XSS payloads.
The Mime Types Extended plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via SVG File uploads in version 0.11 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Author-level access and above, to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses the SVG file.
