I, Librarian is an open-source version of a PDF managing SaaS. Supplemental Files are allowed to be viewed in the browser, only if they have a white-listed MIME type. Unfortunately, this logic is broken, thus allowing unsafe files containing Javascript to be executed with the application context. An attacker can exploit this vulnerability by uploading a supplementary file that contains a malicious code or script. This code will then be executed when the file is loaded in the browser. The vulnerability was fixed in version 5.11.2.

I, Librarian es una versión de código abierto de un SaaS de gestión de PDF. Los archivos complementarios solo se pueden ver en el navegador si tienen un tipo MIME incluido en la lista blanca. Lamentablemente, esta lógica no funciona, lo que permite que se ejecuten archivos no seguros que contienen Javascript con el contexto de la aplicación. Un atacante puede aprovechar esta vulnerabilidad cargando un archivo complementario que contenga un código o script malicioso. Este código se ejecutará cuando se cargue el archivo en el navegador. La vulnerabilidad se solucionó en la versión 5.11.2.
