Descriptions
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ALSA: usb-audio: Fix out of bounds reads when finding clock sources The current USB-audio driver code doesn't check bLength of each
descriptor at traversing for clock descriptors. That is, when a
device provides a bogus descriptor with a shorter bLength, the driver
might hit out-of-bounds reads. For addressing it, this patch adds sanity checks to the validator
functions for the clock descriptor traversal. When the descriptor
length is shorter than expected, it's skipped in the loop. For the clock source and clock multiplier descriptors, we can just
check bLength against the sizeof() of each descriptor type.
OTOH, the clock selector descriptor of UAC2 and UAC3 has an array
of bNrInPins elements and two more fields at its tail, hence those
have to be checked in addition to the sizeof() check.
A vulnerability was found in the Linux kernel's USB Audio driver. This flaw can allow an attacker with physical access to the system to use a malicious USB device to gain additional access. This is possible by reading arbitrary system memory.

Ziming Zhang discovered that the DRM driver for VMware Virtual GPU did not properly handle certain error conditions, leading to a NULL pointer dereference. A local attacker could possibly trigger this vulnerability to cause a denial of service. Ye Zhang and Nicolas Wu discovered that the io_uring subsystem in the Linux kernel did not properly handle locking for rings with IOPOLL, leading to a double-free vulnerability. A local attacker could use this to cause a denial of service or possibly execute arbitrary code.
Linux Kernel contains an out-of-bounds read vulnerability in the USB-audio driver that allows a local, privileged attacker to obtain potentially sensitive information.
