An authentication bypass weakness in the message broker service of Ivanti Workspace Control version 10.18.0.0 and below allows a local authenticated attacker to escalate their privileges.

This vulnerability allows local attackers to escalate privileges on affected installations of Ivanti Workspace Control. An attacker must first obtain the ability to execute low-privileged code on the target system in order to exploit this vulnerability.
The specific flaw exists within the RES service, which listens on TCP port 1942 by default. The issue results from an exposed dangerous method. An attacker can leverage this vulnerability to escalate privileges and execute arbitrary code in the context of SYSTEM.
