CWE-347: Improper Verification of Cryptographic Signature vulnerability exists that could
compromise the Data Center Expert software when an upgrade bundle is manipulated to
include arbitrary bash scripts that are executed as root.

The vulnerability allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code on affected installations of Schneider Electric EcoStruxure Data Center Expert. Authentication is required to exploit this vulnerability.
The specific flaw exists within the handling of upgrade bundles. The issue results from the lack of proper verification of a cryptographic signature. An attacker can leverage this vulnerability to execute code in the context of root.
