CVE-2024-46544 – Apache Tomcat Connectors: mod_jk: local users can view and modify configuration
https://notcve.org/view.php?id=CVE-2024-46544
Incorrect Default Permissions vulnerability in Apache Tomcat Connectors allows local users to view and modify shared memory containing mod_jk configuration which may lead to information disclosure and/or denial of service. This issue affects Apache Tomcat Connectors: from 1.2.9-beta through 1.2.49. Only mod_jk on Unix like systems is affected. Neither the ISAPI redirector nor mod_jk on Windows is affected. Users are recommended to upgrade to version 1.2.50, which fixes the issue. An Incorrect Default Permissions vulnerability was found in Apache Tomcat Connectors that allows local users to view and modify shared memory containing mod_jk configuration, which may lead to information disclosure and denial of service. • https://lists.apache.org/thread/q1gp7cc38hs1r8gj8gfnopwznd5fpr4d https://access.redhat.com/security/cve/CVE-2024-46544 https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2314194 • CWE-276: Incorrect Default Permissions •
CVE-2023-41081 – Apache Tomcat Connectors: Unexpected use of first declared worker in mod_jk for unmapped request
https://notcve.org/view.php?id=CVE-2023-41081
Important: Authentication Bypass CVE-2023-41081 The mod_jk component of Apache Tomcat Connectors in some circumstances, such as when a configuration included "JkOptions +ForwardDirectories" but the configuration did not provide explicit mounts for all possible proxied requests, mod_jk would use an implicit mapping and map the request to the first defined worker. Such an implicit mapping could result in the unintended exposure of the status worker and/or bypass security constraints configured in httpd. As of JK 1.2.49, the implicit mapping functionality has been removed and all mappings must now be via explicit configuration. Only mod_jk is affected by this issue. The ISAPI redirector is not affected. This issue affects Apache Tomcat Connectors (mod_jk only): from 1.2.0 through 1.2.48. Users are recommended to upgrade to version 1.2.49, which fixes the issue. CVE-2014-8111 – mod_jk: information leak due to incorrect JkMount/JkUnmount directives processing
https://notcve.org/view.php?id=CVE-2014-8111
Apache Tomcat Connectors (mod_jk) before 1.2.41 ignores JkUnmount rules for subtrees of previous JkMount rules, which allows remote attackers to access otherwise restricted artifacts via unspecified vectors. It was discovered that a JkUnmount rule for a subtree of a previous JkMount rule could be ignored. This could allow a remote attacker to potentially access a private artifact in a tree that would otherwise not be accessible to them. • http://rhn.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2015-0846.html http://rhn.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2015-0847.html http://rhn.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2015-0848.html http://rhn.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2015-0849.html http://rhn.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2015-1641.html http://rhn.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2015-1642.html http://www.debian.org/security/2015/dsa-3278 http://www.securityfocus.com/bid/74265 https://lists.apache.org/thread.html/277d42b48b6e9aef50949c0dcc79ce21693091d73da246b3c1981925%40%3Cdev.to • CWE-200: Exposure of Sensitive Information to an Unauthorized Actor •
