A crafted DPA file could force Delta Electronics DIAScreen to overflow a stack-based buffer, which could allow an attacker to execute arbitrary code. This vulnerability allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code on affected installations of Delta Electronics DIAScreen. User interaction is required to exploit this vulnerability in that the target must visit a malicious page or open a malicious file. The specific flaw exists within the parsing of DPA files. The issue results from the lack of proper validation of the length of user-supplied data prior to copying it to a fixed-length stack-based buffer. An attacker can leverage this vulnerability to execute code in the context of the current process. • https://www.cisa.gov/news-events/ics-advisories/icsa-24-219-01 • CWE-121: Stack-based Buffer Overflow •
